Hood County Communications Center
The Hood County Communications Centers has sixteen (16) full time Communications Officers, under the direction of Admin Lt Kathy Jividen. There are three (3) Shift Supervisors: Janell Thomas, April Rodriquez, and Brandy Smith.
The Communications Center is responsible for all Emergency and Non-emergency calls for service, requiring a Police, Fire, or Emergency Medical Response. They also handle after hours utilities for the City of Granbury.
The Communications Officer’s, are required to be Emergency Medical and Fire Dispatch Certified, Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standard Education Certified, and National and Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications Certified. They have three months of training after they are hired before they can dispatch on their own.

In 2009, the Hood Communications Center handled over 44, 000 calls for service. The Communications Officers are highly trained and dedicated to sending the response you need, when you need it the most.
